CLASSICAL GUITAR STRINGS

D'Addario produce many fine sets of classical guitar strings. Classics strings are D'Addario's original classical guitar strings and have a distinctive, warm sound. They are available in student grade through to professional quality sterling silver wound. Pro Arte strings are probably D'Addario's most popular classical guitar strings, known for their tone, precision and quality. EXP strings offer the same tonal qualities as the Pro Arte but, due to their coating on the wound strings, last much longer.
French made Savarez strings offer some very high quality guitar strings with some innovative features. Savarez Corum and Alliance strings have trebles made from "KF" a uniqe carbon fibre monofilament, producing a crisp, bright, clear tone. Corum bassesfeel like normal tension strings but have the the attach and tonal response of higher tension guitar strings.
La Bella have two ranges in soft, medium and hard tensions, tailored to classical and flamenco styles.
Augustine classical guitar strings are available in three tensions, Blue Label have the heaviest gauge wire wind, Red Label are lighter and Black Label offer the lightest tension.
Classic C, Classic N and Classic S are Thomastik's classical guitar strings series. The Classic N are a great choice for quality and budget, and the Classic N have a high density fibre core giving crisp treble and clear bass tone. Classic S are a slight departure from tradition, having a soft steel core, suitable for concert and folk guitars.
Martin and Rotosound both produce good quality budget strings available as standard tie on and ball end variants. |
