DR strings are hansdmade in the USA and offer interesting alternatives to traditional acoustic guitar strings. Phosphor Bronze Rare acoustic guitar strings are the most popular line in the DR range of strings. Hex cored, they feature a low tension and warm, loud tone, combined with a strong low end and longer sustain than most other phosphor bronze strings. The DR Extra Life Coated strings have all the tonal properties of the Rares but the phosphor bronze wires are coated prior to winding for extra life and protection. Coloured variants of the Extra Life are available as Peacock Blue and Black Beauties. Perhaps the most innovative range are the DR Zebra Electro Acoustic strings. Utilising a unique technique of alternating the winding between nickel and phosphor bronze these strings are optomised for preserving acoustic tone and giving great response to piezo and magnetic guitar pickups. Perfect for electro acoustic and archtop guitars.
